Life takes many fast turns. Some of mine include making a living as a farmer and rancher, driving trucks from coast to coast and performing highway construction all across the western states. I traveled for many years.
In 1986 I picked up my art again during a winter layoff. Another stint of work ensued until 1992 when I started painting intermittently until I retired.
Now that I am retired it is time for me to pick up the brush and depict the western and rural way of life, including the characters that go along with it.
I travel full time in an RV from North Dakota to Arizona, a snowbird following seasons. I enjoy painting the lay of the land from prairie to desert, points of interest and covering the past to the present.
I've seen a lot and have been many places. I hope to share what I've seen with everyone.
The way I see it, now that I'm in my seventies, I better get it done.
